Aids & Assistances of IGNOUIndira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) in association with the Common Wealth of Learning (COL) and Rajiv Gandhi Foundation offers Rajiv Gandhi Fellowship every year to the graduates of Commonwealth countries.The fellowship, named after Former Prime Minister of India, is conferred to the students for pursuing Masters Programmes of IGNOU through distance learning.The cost of the education is borne by the COL.The awardees of Rajiv Gandhi fellowships are known as COL/Rajiv Gandhi fellows.The first Rajiv Gandhi fellowship was given in the year 1993 to 100 students in Cyprus by President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe.
