About Kalyani University

Established in the year 1960, today Kalyani University stands for providing quality education and research for more than four decades in the area of in almost all the major subject areas of Science, Arts & Commerce, Education, Engineering Technology & Management
Besides s providing academic guidance and leadership to 36 (thirty six) affiliated degree colleges located in the districts of Nadia, Murshidabad and parts of N.  Parganas, the University is now focusing on strengthening postgraduate education and research and evolving as a centre of excellence in a rural backdrop.

Spread over an area of 4000acres in kalyani town, the university boosts of a total 217   teachers who cater specifically to the academic needs of around 2000 of its post-graduate students.

The University, with the help of Distance Education Council, IGNOU and other Universities of West Bengal has launched Directorate of Open & Distance Learning (DODL) at Post Graduate level for the students who are otherwise deprived of higher education
