About Sri Ramachandra University
Sri Ramachandra University today stands for to excellence in education, research and patient care. It was established in the year 1985 and in 1994 it was given the status of a “Deemed University”. Since then, the institute is committed to advancement of medical education, health care and research and is set to achieve a greater level of excellence in all these fields.
Sri Ramachandra University now consisting of 9 Constituent Colleges with over 45 Departments offers about 85 courses. Over 3,500 students benefit from the excellent facilities available here.
In its endeavor to build close co-operation of and guidance from professional experts in administration and teaching, it has strong tie-ups with Harvard Medical International, (USA.). This step has accelerated the growth of the institution towards quality in the areas of medical education, health care and research and enhanced its visibility in international level.
The University offers, at present 71 Medical and allied courses at postgraduate level for qualified graduates and 9 courses at the undergraduate level for +2 (12 th grade) students in medical, dental, Para-medical and allied health sciences disciplines through its constituent colleges located within the campus.
