SAT Biology E/M
Biology E/M SAT Subjects Test – Biology E/M (E: Ecological/M: Molecular) assesses the candidates understanding of general biology at the college preparatory level. The duration of the test is one hour. Purpose: SAT Subjects Test of Biology E/M (E: Ecological/M: Molecular) measures the knowledge of biology at a college preparatory level with either an ecological emphasis (Biology E) or a molecular emphasis (Biology M) |
| How to choose Biology E/M - A student is advised to take Biology E if he/she feels more comfortable answering questions pertaining to biological communities, populations and energy flow.
- A student is advised to take Biology M if he/she feels more comfortable answering questions pertaining to biochemistry, cellular structure and processes such as respiration and photosynthesis.
Important: Indicate choice of Biology E or Biology M on your answer sheet on test day.Formate : SAT Subjects Test on Biology E/M follow the following given Format: - 80 multiple-choice questions.
- 60 of the 80 questions are common to both Biology E and M, followed by 20 specialized questions for each section.
Questions may require to :- SAT Subjects Test on Biology E/M follow the following given Format: - Recall and understand the major concepts of biology and to apply the principles.
- Organize and interpret results obtained by observation and experimentation.
- Draw conclusions or make inferences from the experimental data, including data presented in graphic or tabular form.
- Solve problems with simple numerical calculations using the metric system.

Important: * Topics in italics are tested on the Level 2 Test only. The content of Level1 overlaps somewhat with that on Level 2, but the emphasis on Level 2 is on more advanced content. Plane Euclidean Geometry is not tested directly on Level 2.
