Latest InfoXAT, abbreviated for Xavier Admission Test is one of the most popular tests among the MBA aspirants all over India. For more than 50 years Xavier Labour Research Institute, Jamshedpur (XLRI) is conducting this National level Admission Test to select the most appropriate students for its management education. XAT, the entrance exam to XLRI is also the entrance test to be taken for aspirants seeking admission to many other reputed B-Schools in the country such as XIMB (Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar), LIBA (Loyola Institute of Business Administration, Chennai), BIM (Bharathidasan Institute of Management, Trichy). There are 42 other Associate Institutes who select students from XAT.
XAT Eligibility Criteria
1. Two Year Post Graduate Programme in Business Management (BM) and in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations (PM & IR):
Graduates who have completed three years of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline recognized by a University or Deemed University are eligible to apply. Those completing their final examination by June 10, 2009 may also apply.
2. One year General Management Programme:
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree of minimum three years duration from a recognized University in India/abroad in any discipline. He/She should be employed in a full-time job and must have at least five years of relevant managerial experience as on March 31, 2009 after completion of graduation.
3. Four year Fellow Programme in Management :
Candidates should have a Master’s degree or its equivalent in any discipline or CA/ ICWA/CS with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates) or a BE/ B.Tech degree or its equivalent with at least 60% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates). Those completing their final examination by June 10, 2009 may also apply.
