The Annamalai University conducts Medical Entrance Examination Every year for admission towards various PG degree / PG diploma courses into its Medicine department, The Rajah Muthiah Medical College and Hospital.

The University offers Post Graduate programme in medicine leading to M.D. / M.S. (Doctor of Medicine / Master of Surgery) or Diploma in 18 different disciplines. The programmes are recognised by Medical Council of India (MCI). MD/MS programme is of three years duration and post graduate diploma programme is of two years duration.

M.P.T. – Master of Physiotherapy programme of Annamalai University is of two years duration (non – semester pattern)

Eligibility Criteria

For M.D. / M.S. (Doctor of Medicine / Master of Surgery) or Diploma in 18 different disciplines

  1. Candidates should be citizens of India and have permanent Medical Registration Certificate.
  2. Candidate must posses MBBS (Bachelor pf Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery) degree from a recognised university/board, recognised by Medical Council of India.
  3. Only those arte eligible to appear in the entrance exam who have completed the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship on or before 31st March of the year of entrance examination.

For M.P.T. Programme

B.P.T. degree of Annamalai University OR degree of any university equivalent to degree of Annamalai University.

Method of Selection

For M.D./M.S./Diploma Programmes the qualifying marks are calculated as300 (aggregate Percentage of marks obtained in I,II and III M.B.B.S. Examinations). These marks are added to the marks secured in the Entrance Examinations out of 100 and the Interview marks out of 45.

Ranking and selection is made on the basis of aggregate marks obtained out of 445.
