Eligibility Criteria for MGIMS-CEE UG programs (MBBS) A candidate will be eligible for admission into 1st year of MBBS program if he/she fulfils the following eligibility criteria: - The candidate must be an Indian national. Proof in support of the nationality will be verified.
- The candidate must attain 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission. The S.S.C. or equivalent Examination certificate clearly endorsing the date of birth will constitute valid proof of the date of birth of the candidate.
- The candidate should be medically fit to undergo the professional course. He/She will have to undergo a medical examination at the time of admission.
- The candidate must have passed 12th standard examination under 10+2 system of Maharashtra State Higher Secondary Education Board or an equivalent examination of any recognized Indian Board/University with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually as subjects. The candidate must have secured a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and he/she should have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English all in one & the same attempt.
- Candidates belonging to Scheduled castes, Scheduled Tribes including V.J., N.T. and O.B.C should have obtained not less than 40% of total aggregate marks in Physics. Chemistry and Biology taken together in the qualifying examination. He/she must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in one and the same attempt.
- Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination i.e.12th standard in the March/April of year of the entrance test are also eligible for the Entrance Test.
PG programs (MD/MS/Diploma) The eligibility criteria for admission into PG programs (MD/MS/Diploma) are given below: - He/she must be an Indian national.
- He/she must have completed MBBS degree from a University/Institute recognized by Medical Council of India.
- He/she must have completed 2 years rural service or at least 1 year’s rural service before registration and must be ready to do 1 year rural service after completing the P.G. Course.
