Eligibility

MBBS, B.D.S, B.P.Th:

Age: The candidate must be either of 17th years of age or attain this age as on 31st December, on the year of the admission

Educational Qualification: The candidate should have passed Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (XII standard) from the recognized Board with English securing minimum 50% marks (40% marks for candidates belonging to Backward Class) in aggregate of the subjects namely Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or Botany & Zoology)

The candidate must secure minimum 50% marks in AICET conducted by Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences

B.Sc. Nursing

Age: The candidate must be either of 17 years of age or attain this age on or before 31st December, on the year of the admission.

Educational Qualification:

1. The candidate should have passed Higher Secondary Certificate Examination.
2. The candidate must have appeared for AICET conducted by Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences.
3. The candidate who has appeared for HSC or Equivalent Examination and whose results will be declared before the date of counselling will also be eligible to appear for AICET.

Eligibility Criteria for Appearing for AICET

Nationality: Candidates must be Indian National. The Nationality Certificate issued by the District Magistrate / Additional District Magistrate / Chief Metropolitan Magistrate or a valid Passport shall constitute proof of Nationality.

Age: The candidate must be either of 17 years of age or attain this age as on 31 December on the year of the admission.

Educational Qualification: Candidate should have passed H S C (10 + 2) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board with English securing minimum 50 % marks (40 % for candidates belonging to Backward class.) in aggregate of the subjects namely Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or Botany & Zoology).

The Backward class candidates must attach copy of the Cast and Cast Verification Certificates along with the application form. It should be noted here that there is no reservation for Backward Class students. This certificate is required in support of relaxation of eligibility criteria if they are otherwise found eligible for admission on the basis of their AICET merit.

Candidates who have appeared for HSC or equivalent examination and whose results will be declared before the date of Counselling will also be eligible to appear for AICET.

Application Procedure

a) Prospectus and Application Form can be obtained across the counter on payment by D.D. of Rs. 500/- or by post by sending DD of Rs. 600/- at the following address from 7th March 2005 onwards on any working day and time.

b) The fee for the Entrance Test is Rs. 1,000/- The fee is payable by demand draft drawn in favour of ‘Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences’, on State Bank Of India Loni Branch, ( Code 6322 ) OR Central Bank Of India, Loni Branch, (Code - PMTPUN) payable at Loni - 413 736, Tal - Rahata, Dist - Ahmednagar. The particulars of the draft must be filled in the body of the form as well in both parts of the separate sheet attached along with the form. The candidates should write their full name, address and application number on the back side of the demand draft. The last date for receipt of completed application forms at the following address is 8th April, 2005 up to 5.00 PM.

The medium of instruction for all courses is English. The duration of the courses is as specified by the respective councils.

Exam Pattern

For the admissions to the above courses for the academic year 2005-06, they will conduct AICET on Saturday, 30th April, 2005.

The AICET-2005 will be of three hours duration. There will be one question paper for the CET consisting 200 multiple choice questions (MCQ's), 50 each in Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. Each correct answer carries one mark. There is no negative marking.

Selection Process

The candidate who satisfy the eligibility norms laid down by respective councils shall be admitted to MBBS/BDS/B.P.Th./B.Sc. Nursing courses according to AICET merit list and would be offered admission to these courses on the basis of their inter-se-merit at the time of counselling.

Medical Fitness Certificate

Candidate, if selected, will have to undergo Medical Fitness Test, before Medical Board of Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, Loni and submit Medical Fitness Certificate duly signed by Medical Superintendent. Pravara Rural Hospital within seven days from the date of selection, failing which his/her admission may lead for cancellation and forfeiting of fees paid.

Fee Structure

The annual fees payable by the candidate admitted to the constituent Colleges of Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences are as given below. The Fees are under revision subject to the decision of Hon'ble Supreme Court and approval of University Grants Commission.

Documents

The candidates are required to produce the original copies of the following documents along with two sets of their photocopies.

In case the candidate has submitted original documents to some other institute, he should bring a letter from Head of that Institute certifying submission of documents to that institute.

1. S.S.C./Equivalent Examination mark statement and certificate.
2. H.S.C./Equivalent Examination mark statement and certificate.
3. AICET-2005 mark statement
4. Bonafide and character certificate from the Head of Institution last attended
5. Leaving/Transfer certificate from the Institute last attended
6. Nationality certificate
7. Backward Class Caste and Caste Verification Certificates (by Candidates belonging to all categories of Backward Class)
8. Passport (in case of Foreign Nationals / wards of Persons of Indian Origin/Non-resident Indians)
9. Physical fitness certificate from a registered Medical Practitioner.
