Graduate Study in Canada - Programs & Eligibility

There are differences between the education systems of the different provinces of Canada. Depending upon the province, secondary schooling in Canada could go up to Grade 11, 12 or 13. Therefore, while most provinces require a minimum of 12 years of formal education, Quebec and Ontario require 13 years of formal education. So if you are a student from India, wanting to study in any of the universities located in Ontario or Quebec, you would be required to complete 12 years of schooling and one year of college education in India, or 12 years of schooling in India and one year of high school in Canada. However, you can be considered for degree programs with 12 years of education, if you have strong academic credentials.

For admission to Bachelor’s degree programs in Canada, you do not have any centralized admission tests. Each university or institution has its own admission criteria. However, the general admission criteria for various programs are given below:
