The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG) conducts a number of sponsored and consultancy projects. The institute avails the first grade R & D facilities in terms of infrastructure and faculty. The students and faculty members are committed towards meaningful research.

Sponsored R & D programme

The institutes undertakes Sponsored Research on behalf of Government and Private Agencies. Both national and international players have shown keen interest in IITG for research programmes.The institute also runs part time/short term industry oriented courses for the benefit of professionals.
