Reaching IITG About 20 K.M. from the main Guwahati railway station. Though there is a local Amingaon station also nearby, but most of the important trains connecting Guwahati with rest of India do not stop here presently.
The Institute is located in northern part of the city. Local transport comprises of city bus Tata Sumo's and auto-rickshaws.
