Common Entrance Test CET-Tamil Nadu is conducted by TNSF-Consortium (Consortium of Self - Financing Professional, Arts and Science Colleges in Tamil Nadu). The test is conducted for the candidates who are willing to do MBA / MCA courses available in the listed colleges coming under the TNSF-Consortium in the management quota seats.

Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) held by Anna University (AU) Chennai for admission into following programs:

•     Master of Business Administration (MBA)
•     Master of Computer Application (MCA)
•     Master of Engineering (ME)
•     Master of Technology (M.Tech.)
•     Master of Architecture (M.Arch)
•     Master in Planning (M.Plan)

On the basis of merit in TANCET admission is offered at Universty Departments of Anna University, Chennai, Anna University Coimbatore, Anna University Trichy, Anna University, Tirunelveli, Govt. Engineering, Arts and Science Colleges, Govt. Aided Engineering, Arts & Science Colleges, and Govt. Quota seats in self-financing Engineering and Arts & Science Colleges / standalone Institutions. Besides, some other universities and self financing engineering colleges also accept Score in TANCET for admission. Candidates of Tamil Nadu as well as those living outside Tamil Nadu can apply for appearing in TANCET

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria for appearing in TANCET and further admission into Postgraduate professionals programs offered by Anna University and its associated institutes and universities is described below-

Master of Business Administration (MBA)- A pass in any Degree with 10 + 2 + 3 or 4 years or a pass in any Degree with 10 + 3 (Diploma) + 3 years pattern.

Master of Computer Application (MCA) - Candidates who have Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 year duration (10+2+3 or 4 years pattern) in any discipline with Mathematics or Business Mathematics at +2 level (or) should have passed in any recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years (10+2+3 or 4 pattern) duration in any discipline with Mathematics or Statistics as any one of the subjects.
