B.Sc. (or B.Sc General) Bachelor’s degree and B.Sc. Bachelor’s degree (Hons), are both academic degrees given to undergraduate students. Here we’re looking at the difference between the two academic degrees. B.Sc (Hons) is much more specialized as compared to the B.Sc (General) degree, and academically, B.Sc (Hons) is a more standard degree as compared to B.Sc (general).
If you want to study any one of the main sciences (eg. chemistry, physics, mathematics etc.) in detail, it is advisable to go for a B.Sc (Hons) course. But if you want a more balanced and multi-disciplinary approach, it is better to pursue a B.Sc (General) course for under-graduate studies.
St. Stephen’s College, Delhi is among the best science colleges in India offering both B.Sc (Hons) & B.Sc (Program)

Job Prospects | The B.Sc (hons) degree is more beneficial than a B.Sc degree. A student with a B.Sc (hons) degree, is normally given preference over a student with a B.Sc (general) degree. | A B.Sc. (general) graduate will find jobs in business, academics, marketing, research, etc. |
In case of both degrees, the job prospects are determined by how hardworking a student is and how much of an out-of-the-box thinker he or she is.
