Civil Services Examination - UPSC

Civil servants, who are employees of the Indian government, are recruited through a difficult and meticulous system of examinations called the Civil Services Examination that is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

Through the Civil Service Examination (CSE), candidates can get recruited to various specialized services and posts in the Civil Services of India. All India Civil Services 

Based on the civil service exam result, the President of India makes the appointments to these posts.

  1. Indian Administrative Service (IAS)
  2. Indian Foreign Service (IFS)
  3. Indian Police Service (IPS)

These services look after the administration of the Union government.
