The T A PAI Management Institute is located in the university town of Manipal (Karnataka). It is a private business school in India and was established in 1980. The PG program in TAPMI has been approved by All India Council for Technical Education and is accredited by NBA, the National Board of Accreditation. TAPMI uses the CAT or XAT score for admissions and also considers GMAT scores. The next stage for qualifying to be admitted in TAPMI includes group discussions, WAT and personal interviews. The minimum required qualification for admission in PGDM and PGDM-BKFS requires 50% of aggregate marks in graduation, in any discipline. For admission in PGDM -healthcare, a graduate degree in medical discipline recognized by AIU is required. TAPMI has 420 seats for PGDM and PGDM-BKFS. It has 60 seats for PGDM-Healthcare. TAPMI charges a fee of 13.5 Lakh for PGDM and PGDM-BKFS. The fee is inclusive of hostel fee. An additional approximate food charge of Rs. 3500/- per month is not inclusive in the fee. For PGDM-Healthcare the fees is 9.5 Lakh, again inclusive of hostel fee but not inclusive of food. TAPMI prepares its candidates in all possible ways to the core for placement in industries and corporate. The corporate world has showered immense response for the batch 2013-2014. For the placement 2012-2014 batch, TAPMI had more than 100 companies that allotted jobs to 296 students. Out of the 100 companies that participated almost 60 companies participated for the first time and were highly satisfied by the performance of the candidates. The candidates were placed in multiple domains in various industry verticals including FMCG, Manufacturing, Telecom, Pharma, BPO, Logistics, IT/ITES, e-commerce etc. Students were also placed in international companies such as Etihad Airways, Enhance Oman, and Primlaks.
TAPMI’s new facility was developed at a cost of INR 60 crore which accounts to approximately US $12 million. A 3,20,000 sq.ft state of the art facility houses modern, WI-Fi enabled labs and air conditioned classrooms. The facility includes a knowledge center, student’s center, computer center, well facilitated libraries, and hostels for both men and women along with residences for staffs and faculties. The student center contains gym, canteen, open air theatre, yoga or meditation room and a convenience store.
