SNAP 2016 Exam Analysis and Expected Cut-Off

Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) 2016 was conducted on 18 December. SNAP is the common entrance test held every year for admission to MBA/management programs at the 15 institutes that falls under Symbiosis International University (SIU). This year the exam was conducted across 32 cities in India. SNAP is a 2 hour exam consisting of 150 questions from 4 different sections:

1. General English: Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Ability

2. Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency

3. Current Affairs (of last 2 years)

4. Analytical & Logical Reasoning

Paper and Score Pattern

Time Duration: 120 minutes

No. of Questions: 150

    • No. of Questions from General English: Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Ability: 40
    • No. of Questions from Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency: 40
    • No. of Questions from Current Affairs (of last 2 years): 30
    • No. of Questions from Analytical & Logical Reasoning: 40

Each correct answer is of 1 mark and every negative answer will deduct 0.25 mark

General Analysis

This year the paper pattern was similar to that of the last year. The exam paper was easy this year. The Logical Ability and Quantitative sections were not very easy and candidates took most of the time in solving those sections. The General English and Current Affairs part was however easy.

SNAP 2016 result will be declared on 09 January 2017. There is no sectional cutoff for SNAP. The number of seats for each Symbiosis College and their expected cut off marks is given below. Please note that the expected cut-off are based on SNAP cut off of 2015:
