NCHMCT JEE 2022

NCHMCT JEE is an all India-level joint entrance examination for admission to the 3-Year B.Sc. Hospitality and Hotel Administration programme that is offered jointly by National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT) and Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). The total number of seats available on an all India basis are approximately 7667.

National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology is an autonomous body under Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. The Council centrally regulates academics for hospitality and hotel administration and 9 other structured courses of studies that are imparted at various Institutes of Hotel Management (IHMs), State Institutes of Hotel Management (SIHMs) located in different parts of the country. All Institutes uniformly follow standardized course curricula prescribed by the Council for the twelve different professional programmes.

There are 21 central Institutes of Hotel Management (IHMs) and 19 State Institutes of Hotel Management (SIHMs) that accept JEE scores. Apart from these, there are around 15 affiliated private institutes of Hotel Management which accept JEE scores.

Quality of education and training provided by the Institutes helps student to emerge as professionally qualified personnel for hospitality and other allied service sectors.

The Council (NCHMCT) has till date trained more than 80,000 Hospitality Managers,  Executives and other operational personnel. Its alumni occupy key positions in hospitality industry and in academic institutions in India and abroad. 

The 3 year B.Sc Hospitality and Hotel Administration programme equips students with all the required skills, knowledge and attitude to make a career in the booming hospitality sector. The programme also involves in-depth laboratory work for students to acquire the required knowledge and skills in the operational areas of Food Production, Food and Beverage Service, Front Office Operation and House Keeping. At the same time, this course renders extensive management insight in areas like Sales and Marketing, Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Hotel and Catering Law, Property Management, Entrepreneurship Development, Computers with special focus on Tourism Studies.
