RMAT 2017 - Application Form, Eligibility, Exam Pattern and Syllabus

The first step for an MBA aspirant is the Entrance Test carried out either at the National Level or State level or the Institutes’ level. These entrance tests are designed with a view to objectively measure the aptitude of the candidate and the general skills as expected of would be manager / organizers.

Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) conducts the aptitude test held every year. Rajasthan Management Aptitude Test (RMAT) is scheduled to be held in June every year. The Test is only valid for fifty-two unaided/private institutions and six aided/government institutions.

Generally, the management programs are open to all the streams of study. The complexity level of the master’s level management entrance test is mainly pegged at 10+2 level. However, the entrance test for bachelors level management program mainly emphasized on high school standards.

Eligibility Criteria

  • A minimum aggregate of 50% (45% for SC/ST and OBC candidates) in graduation is mandatory to be eligible for RMAT.
  • Students in their final year can also apply provided they fit the above mentioned criteria in terms of percentage.
  • Only domiciles of Rajasthan are eligible for RMAT. However, if the candidate meets the below conditions then he/she can appear for RMAT as well.

Condition A: The candidate or either of their natural parents is a bonafide resident of Rajasthan.

OR

Condition B: Candidate has studied for 5 years continuously in recognized educational institutions in Rajasthan up to and including the year in which they have passed the qualifying examination.

RMAT Syllabus 2017

There are 5 categories that are covered under RMAT 2017.

Exam Pattern

The duration of RMAT is 150 minutes and there is no negative marking.

Note :

Children of Ex-Servicemen (Ex-S) and the Defence Killed (DK) persons of Rajasthan origin are eligible to apply in these categories. The State of origin and hometown as entered in the discharge certificate is only accepted as proof in respect of the above.

For wards of defense personnel from other states but serving in the state of Rajasthan, the domicile condition is waived off to enable them to appear in the entrance test and be selected in general quota. However, they are not eligible for the Ex-S/DK category.
