Surpassed by IIT Madras at 1st, IISc Bangalore at 2nd and IIT Delhi at 3rd, IIT Bombay has seen a decline from it’s last year position at third place where it achieved a score of 82.35.

Professor Subhasis Chaudhuri, the director of IIT-B, expressed the institution’s continuous commitment to providing an exceptional educational experience to its students and faculty. He credited their consistent performance in rankings such as QS and NIRF to their unwavering efforts.

IIT-B secured the following rankings in different categories this year: fourth in overall, third in engineering, tenth in management, fourth in research, and seventh in the newly introduced innovation category.

Meanwhile, the University of Mumbai has experienced a drop in its overall ranking this year. Previously positioned at 81 with a score of 48.93, it now stands at 96 with a score of 48.63. The decline can be attributed to the absence of a full-time vice-chancellor, pro-vice chancellor, and various councils for the past eighteen months, resulting in pending matters and an overall lack of leadership.
