According to Bishnupada Mandal, the Organizing Chairperson of JEE Advanced 2023, the detailed seat matrix is anticipated to be announced today.
In the forthcoming JEE Advanced 2023, students aspiring to enter the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) will have a greater number of seats to compete for. This year, a total of 17,385 seats are available across all 23 IITs in India, indicating a slight increment compared to last year’s count of 16,598 seats.
The Organizing Chairperson of JEE Advanced 2023, Prof. Bishnupada Mandal, shared insights into the seat availability. He confirmed that the comprehensive seat matrix, including the female supernumerary seats, will be disclosed by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) on Monday. While awaiting the detailed seat distribution, Prof. Mandal expressed that the information available to them currently indicates the total number of seats to be 17,385.
This increase in the number of seats reflects the continuous efforts and expansion initiatives undertaken by the IITs to accommodate more talented students and provide them with quality education. The inclusion of female supernumerary seats further emphasizes the importance of promoting gender diversity and inclusivity in technical education.
Prospective candidates participating in JEE Advanced 2023 will now have a marginally higher chance of securing admission into their desired IITs. Aspiring engineers across the nation eagerly await the official announcement of the detailed seat matrix, which will provide them with a clearer picture of the available seats in each IIT and enable them to make informed decisions regarding their preferences and choices during the counseling process.
