Panjab University Distance Education - Chandigarh

Panjab University is a State University which has UGC Recognition as well as it is funded by UGC. The University has A Grade in NAAC Rating. The University imparts teaching and research in science and technology, humanities, social sciences, performing arts and sports. The University has faculty and students from all over the country and abroad. Various scholars visit and have discussions with both, the faculty and the students.

 

Panjab University Department of Correspondence Studies (PUDCS) is presently known as Panjab University School of Open Learning (Panjab University SOL). It was established in the year 1971. The USOL offers 28 courses including Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma and Professional Courses. Some new courses such as Certificate Course in Vivekanand Studies, Diploma in Human Rights and a Diploma in Naturopathy & Yoga have been recently introduced.

 

The instructions are imparted through printed study material in Self Learning Mode, Personal Contact Program, Response Sheets, Assignments, Video and Audio- cassette Lessons on selected topics, Dissertations/Projects in selected courses and Counseling of students on a one to one basis, Regional and National Seminars and Special Lecture Series. The USOL has set up a small Computer Lab with 20 Computers.
