The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) was established in 1986. It is a premier institute of fashion studies and has campuses all throughout the major cities of the country such as Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, New Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Gandhinagar, Jodhpur, Kangra, Kannur, Patna, Rae Bareli, Kolkata and Shillong. Many prominent names from the fashion industry are part of the large alumni base of NIFT. It offers a wide range of graduate and post-graduate courses in fashion design, management and technology.
