NIFT 2017

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) was established in 1986. It is a premier institute of fashion studies and has campuses all throughout the major cities of the country such as Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, New Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Gandhinagar, Jodhpur, Kangra, Kannur, Patna, Rae Bareli, Kolkata and Shillong. Many prominent names from the fashion industry are part of the large alumni base of NIFT. It offers a wide range of graduate and post-graduate courses in fashion design, management and technology.

NIFT exams are conducted in the formats of General Aptitude Test (GAT) and Creative Aptitude Test (CAT). The courses offered by the institute on the basis of performance in these tests are:

• Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) (Accessory Design, Fashion Communication, Fashion Design, Knitwear Design, Leather Design, Textile Design)
• Master of Design Fashion (M.Des.)
• Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech.) (Apparel Production)
• Master of Fashion Management (M.F.M.)
• Master of Fashion Technology (M.F.Tech.)
