IIT Madras has recorded a 100% placement for management courses this year. It is reported that 16% of students got pre-placement offers.
The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, recorded a 100% placement for its Department of Management Studies for this academic year. According to the reports released by the college, the average salary offered to the students is Rs 16.66 lakhs per annum. The average cost to the company (CTC) has increased by 30.35% compared to last year.
It was also reported that around 61 students who had applied for the placement drive had secured a job. It said around 16% of students got Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs), in which students interning at a company get job offers from the same firm.
“The lucrative offers by the recruiters reflect the quality of our students and our programme. DoMS is known for its excellence in high quality faculty and rigorous teaching and learning processes. We expect more industry engagement in various domains in the future, “Prof. M. Thenmozhi, head of the Department of Management Studies, IIT Madras, said.
A total of 26 companies came for the campus drive. Amazon, Deloitte, ICICI, and McKinsey were part of the recruitment campus drive.
