The New Education Policy has the Soul of Indian Culture and Tradition. A Happy Moment for Krurkeshtra University

On Sunday, August 14th, 2022, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Kattar said in his statement that the New Education Policy 2020 (NEP) has the soul of Indian culture and tradition, and it will play a key role in establishing India as a world leader.

After launching the Implementation of New Education Policy 2020 at the Kurukshetra University, He said “We need to rewrite our nation’s history and free it from the prejudices and distortions by western historians. Our past was glorious, and it needs to be taught in its true spirit to the younger generation”

He further added that many attempts have been made in the last 70 years to frame a new education policy for India, but it can’t be freed from Macauley’s Education Policy. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has a vision for the NEP (2020) with the soul of Indian culture and education.

“NEP lays the foundation of the new India as it is based on a holistic approach.” It covers significant aspects like holistic, multidisciplinary, and futuristic education; quality research; and the use of online technology for better reach in education. The CM expressed his gratitude to the Varsity administration for taking the lead in implementing the new education policy in accordance with the University Grant Commission beginning in the academic year 2022-23.

He also added further, “NEP will certainly pave the way for making India a Vishwaguru once again and lead the world towards peace, sustainable prosperity, and brotherhood.”

Kurukshetra is the first university in the state that implements NEP from 2022 with a defined structure, even though the state government has set a goal of NEP Implementation for 2025. Som Nath Sachdeva, a Vice-Chancellor, stated.

He further added that “the varsity’s four-year honors-with-research undergraduate program is focused on providing quality education along with all-round development of the students.”
