CUET 2022 PHASE 4 exam cancelled

The National Testing Agency (NTA) had to postpone the CUET-UG fourth phase on Wednesday due to technical issues affecting about 8,600 candidates, according to authorities. According to them, on August 25, the candidates who were affected by the glitch will be allowed to retake the exam.

“Due to some unavoidable technical reasons, examinations scheduled for today were canceled in 13 centers in Shift 1 and Shift 2. A total of 8,693 candidates were affected out of 1.45 lakh candidates. All the affected candidates will get a chance for a retest on August 25,” UGC chairman Jagadesh Kumar said.

Two in Varanasi, including one at IIT BHU, and one each in Bihar, Gaya, Delhi, and Faridabad, are among the eight locations where the exam has been postponed.

Students from Delhi’s Guru Hargobind Institute of Management and Information Technology, Aakash International Senior Secondary School in Nangloi, and Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies in Pitampura claimed they were asked to return due to technical difficulties and server issues.

Several students stated that their test began at least two hours later than it was supposed to. Devyani, who had traveled to Pitampura for her CUET, said, “We waited for two hours for the exam to begin in the first shift. Some of the students were also sent back, citing technical glitches.”

CUET is a common entrance test to get undergraduate admission in all universities. Around 3.6 lakh students appeared in the CUET 2022 phase 4 examination that was scheduled from 17-20 august.
