IIIT Delhi invites PhD applications

Indraprastha Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIIT Delhi) is inviting applications for admission to PhD programmes from prospective and qualified candidates through AICTE Doctoral Fellowship (ADF) Scheme 2022-23.

 

This scheme was started by AICTE for promotion of research culture and to promote collaborative research between institutions and industries which can eventually lead to creation of startups and can nurture talent for technical research.

The IIIT has invited applications in the field of Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering and Computational Biology and the last date for application is 18th September 2022.

Financial Support provided by the scheme

The scheme offers various financial support initiatives which include a fellowship of Rs. 31,000 for the first two years and Rs. 35,00 for the third year for scholars, HRA as per the Government of India norms and the applicable city/location in which research is being carried out, Contingency grant at the rate of Rs.15000 per annum for miscellaneous expenses and additional financial support by IIIT – Delhi for laptops, salary top-up, Overseas Research Fellowships etc.

Eligibility criteria for ADF Fellowship

  • Undergraduate or Postgraduate Certificate
  • 69.5% or more in UG/PG courses for General and OBC and 64.5% or above for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped.
  • If the UG/PG follows CGPA grading system, 7.5 (on a scale of 10) for General and OBC and 7.0 for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped.
  • The Candidate should be GATE/NET qualified in the last five years.
  • Candidates should be less than 30 years of age.
  • Age relaxation is considered for SC/ST/Women/Physically challenged category.
