Jharkhand Government has declared that it will work to support and facilitate 9 lakh teenage girls’ access to education this year. The Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana, SPKSY Scheme, according to Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, will be used to carry out this.
The Jharkhand government announced its intention to support education for at least 9 lakh girls this year on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Savitribai Phule, who is revered as India’s first female teacher and a pioneer in women’s rights.
The chief minister transferred a total of Rs 219 crore to the accounts of more than 5.52 lakh adolescent girls as part of a program held to mark the end of the government’s first three years in office, according to the statement.
The program’s goal is to help adolescent girls pay for their education while also making sure they don’t drop out and avoiding child marriage, according to the statement.
The Jharkhand government has displayed honor by naming two of its scholarship programs after Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda, the iconic leader of the Jharkhand movement and the first captain of the Indian hockey team, and Savitribai Phule, the first teacher of our country, according to a statement.
According to the statement, youths from scheduled castes, minorities, and backward classes are now eligible for the program, which has been expanded to include a maximum of 25 people, the chief minister’s directives from the previous year.
