CBSE Presents New Skill Subjects For Class 9, 11; Adds New Expertise Modules For Middle Schools

The schools and understudies are allowed to choose one or more of these expertise modules. These ability modules will likewise be made accessible in web-based self-learning mode and understudies can take up the classes in internet based mode also. The assessment of these modules will be school-based and will ideally be project based. The assessment is to be finished by the school according to the measures given by the board. These modules can be presented through the individual hobby clubs (if any). The schools and understudies are allowed to pick any skill modules either at Class 6, Class 7 or Class 8.

CBSE in its round expressed, “The Scheme of Studies for the understudies picking expertise subjects in classes IX-X has been changed as follows: If an understudy concentrates on three necessary subjects (i.e., Science, Math and Sociology) and furthermore decides to concentrate on an Skill subject (provided as 6th optional subject), then, at that point, the total of best five including two languages(Subject 1 and 2) and the best three (from subject 3, 4, 5 and 6, including Expertise subject) can be considered for calculation of percentage”.

The CBSE-affiliated schools are not expected to pay any expense for presenting the expertise module and skill subject at any level. According to the revised affiliation Bye-laws of the board, a school doesn’t need to apply independently for presenting any supplementary subjects, including expertise subjects, except Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
