Students from Delhi University’s Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB) demonstrated against the withholding of exam results for a number of students on Monday. The university’s exam branch hosted the demonstration.

According to Krantikari Yuva Sangathan (KYS), a student organisation, several students’ semester results have been delayed by officials who assert that the students’ registration forms include flaws.

“The students have paid money on the site, yet even after providing the fee slips, the officials continue to hold them responsible for the delay in the announcement of the exam results, claiming that their registration form and admission cards were only “provisional” and not final.

NCWEB students’ second, third, and fourth semester exam results have not yet been released. While the pandemic was going on, these tests were given online. The university’s administration was silent right away.

Additionally, the students claim that although they appeared in the tests, several of them were marked absent by the officials.

According to the KYS, “the DU and NCWEB officials’ apathy knows no bounds as when a student in absolute rage accused them of ruining her academic future, the official apathetically remarked that even if several students commit suicide, it would not matter much.”
