Half-day in Telangana schools will commence today, March 15 and continue till April 24, the government order reads.
All schools in the state of Telangana are required to operate with shortened hours till the end of the current academic year. The decree states that half-day classes will start today, March 15, and go until April 24.
All schools in Telangana have been given shorter hours of operation, apparently in anticipation of the impending summer, when temperatures in Hyderabad have already reached 36 to 38 degrees Celsius.                                    Regional joint directors and district educational officials were told to adopt half-day lessons in a circular from the director of school education. Telangana’s new school day would run from 8 am to 12:30 pm, with lunch being served at 12:30.
Nonetheless, special lessons for kids in the tenth standard will reportedly continue due to their preparation for the SSC. The students’ tests will be in the month of April, and the schools serving as SSC centres will be open from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
For the purpose of preparing Class X pupils for the SSC Public Examination in April 2023, “Special lessons shall continue. The hours of operation for schools with SSC Examination Centers are from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM “the directive states, according to a reputable news source
“All Regional Joint, Directors of School Education, and District Educational Officers in the state are thus instructed to disseminate the foregoing directions to the schools operating under all managements and supervise the execution,” it said.”
