Indian Army Havildar Education Exams

For the recruitment of Havildar Education, Indian Army conducts Indian Army Havildar Education Examination. The examination is conducted in February generally.
Age Limit
20 – 25 years for civilian candidates and up to 28 years for remustered candidates as on first day of Recruitment Rally.
Educational Qualification
You must have basic knowledge of either English or Hindi and should have graduated from a recognized university in any of the following subjects at PG/ graduation level:
(a) Science Stream: M.Sc/B Sc /MCA/ BCA /B.Tech/B.Sc (IT) with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Biology, Electronics or Computer Science.
(b) Arts stream: MA/BA with English Literature, Hindi Literature, Urdu Literature, History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, Psychology, Mathematics or Sociology.
Physical Standards
Minimum physical standards will be as applicable to the Soldier (Clerk). The details can be obtained from any HQ Recruiting Zone, IRO Delhi Cantt / Army Recruitment Office.
Recruitment process
A) Screening
Screening of candidates will be done by Recruiting Offices as per their schedule.
B) Physical Fitness Test
(a) 1.6 Km in maximum 6.20 minutes.
(b) Pull ups (Beam) – minimum 6 pull ups.
(c) Zig Zag balance – must pass.
(d) 9 Feet ditch – must pass.
C) Medical Standards
Medical standards are checked for each candidate to ensure the following:
- robust physique and mental health
- chest well developed with minimum 5 cm expansion
- normal hearing in each ear
- have sufficient number of natural healthy gums and teeth, i.e 14 dental points
- not have diseases like deformity of bones, hydrocele, varicose veins or piles
Remustering candidates should be in medical category SHAPE-1 in terms of Special Army Order 6/S/2005/Rtg dt 05 Aug 2005 as amended from time to time
D) Written Examination
You can appear in the written examination only after clearing rounds A,B,C. The written test will be conducted at HQ Recruiting Zone/ IRO Delhi Cantt on 22 February, 2015.
Exam pattern
The written examination will be of 2 hours duration, and will have two parts:
Science candidates need to attempt only Part-I and Part-II (Science). Arts candidates will attempt only Part-I and Part-II (Arts).
(a) Part – I (Compulsory for all candidates): 50 marks, 50 questions on General Knowledge & General English, pass marks is 20
(b) Part – II (Science Stream) Compulsory only for M.Sc/B Sc /MCA/ BCA / B.Tech/B.Sc (IT) candidates. 50 marks, 50 questions on Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science, pass marks is 20
(c) Part – II (Arts Stream) Compulsory only for MA/BA candidates. 50 marks, 50 questions on Mathematics,History, Geography, Political Science and Economics, Pass marks is 20
You must pass Part – I and Part – II separately. All answers should be marked on OMR answer sheet.
E) Teaching Aptitude Test/Interview
The candidates declared successful in the above written examination and placed in the merit list will appear for Teaching Aptitude Test and Interview to be conducted at AEC Training College & Centre Pachmarhi (MP). Candidates qualifying in the Written Test, Teaching Aptitude Test and Interview and placed in the merit list will be enrolled in the Army Educational Corps.
