Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University (VMOU) was previously known as Kota Open University. The establishment of VMOU (Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University) took place with the amalgamation of two institutes of correspondences courses viz. Institute of Correspondence Studies and Continuing Education Jaipur and (College of Correspondence Studies) Udaipur, to strengthen and achieve proper coordination among the scattered vast distance education resources and to serve high quality education.

The University headquarter is located at Kota and it has its jurisdiction in the whole of the state of Rajasthan. The University has 6 Regional Centres and 24 Study Centres including a study centre in Delhi.

VMOU has also started Placement Assistance Services for the students of VMOU. VMOU provides all essential facilities to its students, such as library, sports & games, computer labs, gym, auditorium and canteen.

Courses Offered:

The university provides Master’s, Bachelor’s, Certificate, Diploma, Post Graduate etc in Economics, Computer Applications, Social Work, Information Science, Journalism, teaching in English, Psychology, Political Science, Business Administration etc.

Admissions:

The admissions are done online however the applicant is subjected to a practical exam before the whole process. The application form along with the required fees, documents and signatures are to be submitted before the last date. The documents required are
1. Digital signature
2. 2 passport size photographs
3. DOB verification documents (Birth certificate or Adhaar card)
4. Qualification documents.
