Fees and Awards
The education in Navodaya Vidyalayas across the country are imparted free of cost.
(I) NVS HQRS LEVEL – Annual Awards To Teachers Teaching Board Classes
| Prizes | Criteria | Name of Award | Kind of Award |
| Special Prize | Above 90% average class marks in the subject | Guru Ratna | Certificate of Golden border with one Golden Star on it. |
| First Prize | Above 80 to 90% average class marks in the subject | Guru Param | Special award on certificate with Golden border. |
| Second Prize | Above 70 to 80% average class marks in the subject | Guru Shreshta | Special award on certificate with Silver border. |
| Third Prize | 60 to 70% average class marks in the subject | Guru Praveen | Special award on certificate with Green border. |
| Appreciation | 100% pass percentage in the subject | Appreciation | Letter of appreciation. |
(II) Award To The Best 5 Teachers In The Region And The Best 10 Teachers In The Country
Two awards one at NVS Hqrs. and other at Regional Office Level will also be given. The number of awards at Hqrs. /RO level will be ten and five respectively subject-wise. The criteria of these awards would be as given below
- Ten such teachers of JNVs of the country in each subject will be honoured with Award whose students secure highest average class marks in the subject in order.
- Five such teachers of JNVs of the Region in each subject will be honoured whose students secure highest average class marks in the subject in order.
