A teacher can’t afford retirement because she owes $155,000 in student loans. says, “I’ll die with that debt."

Harrel, who has been a teacher for over 20 years, now teaches special education classes at a prison.

Student loan

Lori Harrell, 60, is a teacher with a bachelor’s degree in education as well as two master’s degrees, but she advised her son not to go to college.

“I went to school when I was coming up because parents said you either go to school or get a job,” she told Insider. “But the advice I gave him was that you don’t really need to go to school unless you know exactly what you want to go for.”

Harrell, who was a public school teacher in New York for over 20 years, is approaching retirement. But with $155,000 in student loan debt, she doesn’t know how she can afford it.

Lori has been working as a special education teacher at Wyoming Correctional Facility in Attica for the past four years. Before that, she used to teach special education classes to middle and high school students. However, she decided to switch to a government job so that she would have a more secure pension and better benefits (such as health insurance) when she retired.

Debt has been a real problem for Harrell over the years. She’s found it hard to keep up with her payments, and the loans themselves have been prohibitive.

“When I was raising my son as a single parent, it was about taking care of the rent, food, him, his activities, and those kinds of things,” she said. “It never got to the place where I couldn’t feed him or myself, but it was hard.”

Early on in her career, Harrell said that student loan companies estimated her salary to be $30,000 more per year than she was actually making. Even now, decades later, she still hasn’t reached that income.

NEET UG 2022

As the release date for the NEET UG 2022 Answer key approaches, some fake videos about the commencement of the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) Phase 2 registration have surfaced on social media, causing confusion and chaos among students. The videos claim that the NEET phase 2 registration for 2022 has already started on the exam’s official website, neet.nta.nic.in.

However, no official statement has been released on the official website. Neither the Ministries of Health and Education nor the National Testing Agency (NTA) have announced a phase-wise NEET exam this year.

The NEET UG exam for 2022 was conducted on July 17. Results are expected to be announced soon. The NEET Answer key is expected to be released today.

This year, NTA only invited applications for NEET UG 2022 at neet.nta.nic.in. This means that there was no such term as “Phase 1 or 2.” The NEET UG 2022 information bulletin also does not mention anything about a two-phase exam.

How to download the NEET UG 2022 answer key.

Candidates can download the NEET answer key by following these simple steps:

– Go to the NEET website – neet.nta.nic.in.

– Once the answer key is released, click on the link.

– The official answer key for NEET will appear on the screen.

– Download the answer key that corresponds to your question paper code.

– Compare your answers with the ones given in the key.

– Calculate your score using the answer key.

A total of 18,72,329 candidates registered for the NEET entrance exam–the largest in the country–of which 10.64 lakh were female and 8.08 lakh were male, NTA officials said. The exams were conducted in 1,921 centers across the country and attendance was recorded at 95 percent.

DU law colleges hunger strike

On Saturday, a group of law students at Delhi University started a hunger strike in protest at their syllabus not being finished and that they were asking for the exam to be postponed. In order to provide a sufficient break between two papers, the protesting students of the second, fourth, and sixth semesters also wanted revisions to the date sheet. The students issued a statement saying that they would not leave the premises until their demands were met.

The demonstration is being held by students from the Campus Law Center (CLC), Law Center I, and Law Center II. They expressed concerns that their syllabus was incomplete and that their online lectures were still in session, despite the fact that the tests were set to begin on August 10.

“We have begun a hunger strike until our demands are met. A few students’ blood pressure has gone down. But we are not ending the strike till the administration postpones the examination,” Swapnil, a law faculty student, said.

Several students sat on a dharna and held placards that read: “Don’t play with our careers” and “We are humans, not machines.” Sakhti Singh, a second-semester student at the Law Faculty, said the students have been protesting for the last few days and even though the officials gave them assurances, nothing has happened.

Four Indian students from Gujarat failed to speak English in front of a US court after getting caught entering the US on a boat from Canada.

IELTS test

The police in Gujarat have launched an investigation after six people from the state failed to speak in English before a US court despite having a high score in the English proficiency test IELTS. The men were caught entering the US on a boat from Canada in March this year. The Internet is also baffled after the news about the arrest of these people surfaced online. The probe has been launched at the request of American authorities.

Inspector Bhavesh Rathod from Mehsana police’s Special Operations Group (SOG) was quoted as saying by PTI that the six people, all between the ages of 19 and 21, were caught from a sinking boat in the Saint Regis river in Akwesasne, US, close to the Canadian border. The group was attempting to cross the border illegally when their boat began to take on water and began to sink. Fortunately, authorities were able to catch them and bring them into custody before anyone was hurt.

“When they were produced before a court in the US, they failed to answer in English the questions asked by the judge. The court had to take the help of a Hindi translator. The court was baffled as these students had scored 6.5 to 7 bands in IELTS,” the inspector said.

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a test of English proficiency for non-native speakers of the language. A good score on the IELTS is necessary for admission to good colleges in several countries.

On September 25, 2021, six young men appeared for an exam in south Gujarat’s Navsari town. They went to Canada on a student visa on March 19 this year, nearly two weeks before they were caught at the US-Canada border.
