The Corporation bank is one of the leading public sector banks in India, founded in 1906 and nationalised in 1980.

Till 2011, it used to conduct the Corporation Bank PO exam for recruitment of its probationary officers. But since 2011, the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) authorised the IBPS to conduct a Common Written Examination (CWE) for recruitment of bank probationary officers (PO) and management trainees (MT.) Since then, Corporation Bank has been using the IBPS CWE Bank PO exam for recruitment of its probationary officers.
