Industrial Relation Officer Career

Aspirants who wish to become industrial Relation officer must keep in their mind that their job involves implementation of constitutional and other welfare schemes with respect to industries. It is a government job and the incumbent is required to coordinate with the industrial policy of the state.

This field offers an exciting career prospects for those who want to engage themselves in community development programs and are dedicated towards working for the society at the grass-roots level.

Age – Generally a minimum 21 years and maximum of 30 years. Since the examination is conducted through State Public Service Commissions the candidate should check with the respective State Public Service Commission.

Educational Qualifications – Generally a degree in graduation in any discipline from any of the recognized universities of India.

Skills and Attributes – This is a very demanding job. The candidate must be prepared to stay in rural and tribal areas for longer periods of time. He must possess good persuasion skills. He supervises, coordinates and guides the work of the all industries and their labour policy.

Recruitment Procedure – The concerned department of the ministry undertakes examination .The scheme of examination consists of two parts. The first part comprises of a written examination and the second part consists of an interview cum personality test for candidates who qualify the written examination.

Any combination of two or three subjects depending upon the State

• English language (*of qualifying nature)
• Hindi (or the language of the state viz. Tamil for Tamil Nadu, Marathi for Maharashtra)

In the second part an interview cum personality test is held for those students who qualify the written examination.
