Preferably a candidate should possess post-graduation degree in Political Science or Public Administration. Knowledge of Constitution of India is a must as is knowledge about parliamentary procedures. Knowledge of a foreign language and/or any Indian language other than the mother tongue is of additional help
Age – Below 30 years.
Educational Qualifications –
i) Masters degree or other post-graduate degree in one of the social- sciences preferably in Political Science, Public Administration, Economics or Sociology etc. or in Law and/or
ii) Masters degree with higher academic qualifications, attainments or published works; at least 3 years experience of research/ Journalism or of service in a Legislature Secretariat or a Research oriented library. Desirable
Special qualifications in Constitutional Law and/or Parliamentary Procedures; Knowledge of any foreign language and Indian language other   than the mother tongue; Degree/ Diploma in Library Science, documentation or research methods.
Recruitment Procedure –
The candidates are selected generally on the basis of a written test. The pre-requisite for the test is a post- graduation degree in social sciences.
