Osmania University Distance Education

Osmania University is also known as OU Hyderabad. Osmania University is the first Indian University to have an Indian language as medium of instruction (Urdu). It is known for its education in Engineering and Technology. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accorded the University  with an A grade. The University offers Distance Learning mode.

 

The University is recognized by Distance Education Council (DEC) New Delhi and University with Potential Excellence (UPE) and Re Accredited by NAAC With A Grade. It provides undergraduate courses, post graduate courses, and CD and Web based Modular Certificate Courses. The DEC has study centers only in Hyderabad.

 

The functions of the University includes providing system of learner centered self-paced studies, and to provide flexible, diversified and need based courses. Important facilities like computer labs and internet connection are provided by the University’s Distance Education Council (DEC). Library, Auditorium, Seminar Halls, and Audio Visual Centers are some of the other amenities facilitated by the University DEC.
