Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya (RDV), Jabalpur was established in 1956. The University is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya, formerly University of Jabalpur, enjoys the ‘Accredited’ status and has been graded as ‘B++’ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The University provides facilities like library, hostel, banking, wi-fi campus, sports, and laboratories.

The university campus is spread over 99.63 acres. It houses an Administrative Block, Art Faculty building, Teaching and Research buildings of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Bio-Science, System Science and Physical education departments.

The University DDE offers courses such as B.A./B.Com, B.Sc. Maths, B.Sc. Biology, Bachelors of Computer Application, Masters of Computer Application, Certificate in Computing, and P.G. Diploma in Computer Application. The University DDE has nine study centers.

They have Bachelors degree in Arts, Commerce, Science and LIS; Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, Financial Management, Tourism and Hotel Management, Marketing, bioinformatics and dietetic and therapeutic nutrition.
