IIT Jodhpur organized a workshop on the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) on July 25, 2023. The workshop was attended by 25 officials from various educational institutions, including heads from higher education institutions and school education institutions.
IIT Jodhpur held a workshop on the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The workshop was attended by 25 officials from various educational institutions, including heads from higher education institutions and school education institutions.
The workshop discussed the ways in which the NEP can be implemented in the curriculum of IIT Jodhpur. Prof. Santanu Chaudhury, Director of IIT Jodhpur, spoke about the initiatives taken by the Institute to revamp its academic curriculum to bring in elements of flexibility and enable students to choose their own courses.
IIT Jodhpur has also started new interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary academic entities, such as Schools, Centres, and Interdisciplinary Research Platforms, to bring the true spirit of the NEP to its academic and research programs. The Institute has also introduced multidisciplinary courses, such as BS in Physics (with specialization) and BS in Chemistry (with specialization), as envisioned in the NEP.
