The decision was made in order to protect the health and safety of children, as the high temperatures and humidity pose a risk to their well-being.

The order, which was issued under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, prohibits all academic activities in private and government schools in Patna, as well as preschools and Anganwadi centers. The closure will remain in effect until June 28, at which time the situation will be re-evaluated.

The Patna District Magistrate has extended the closure of schools up to class 12 in the city for the third time. The first closure was from June 12 to 18, and the second was from June 19 to 24. The current closure will remain in effect until June 28.

The heatwave in Bihar is severe, with temperatures in some districts reaching 45°C. The IMD has warned that the heatwave is likely to continue for the next few days.

The closure of schools is a precautionary measure to protect the health and safety of children. The high temperatures and humidity can be dangerous for young people, and the closure will allow them to stay indoors and avoid the heat.
