The Indian Institute of Management in Kashipur is one among the newest IIMs in India. IIM Kashipur has announced the admission criteria for its flagship program, the Post Graduate Program (PGP) for the upcoming academic year, 2017-19.
This marks IIM Kashipur’s fourth batch. The CAT cut off has been increased by 15% as compared to the last year. While last year’s cut off was 75 percentile, it is now at 90 percentile.

IIM Kashipur will normalize your academic scores. The minimum cut-off for the Post Graduate Program (PGP) has been set at 90 percentile and 85 percentile respectively. IIM Kashipur will consider the overall cut-off, as well as sectional cut-off.
The overall cutoff for General Category candidates, at IIM Kashipur, is 90 percentile while the least is 65 percentile for ST & DAP candidates. The cutoff has somewhat remained the same throughout the years with the only increase in cutoff percentile for PWD and DAP candidates.

Your CAT score is the score criterion for making it through the first short-list. The short-listing factors for the first stage include your CAT score, and grades in 10th, 12th and graduation. It also takes into account your work experience, whether you have done a post-graduation course already, academic background and gender. All these are marked out of 60 points as in the table below:

Commerce and Economics include subjects like Accountancy, Auditing, Banking, Business Mathematics, Business Organization, Economics, Economic Development and Planning, Public Administration, Public Finance, Secretarial Practices etc.

In this stage of Personal Interview s (PI), and the Written Ability Test (WAT), the score in total is out of 40, and is calculated as below:

The final selection into the institution is based on the total score you attain in both stages of selection.
