The Faculty of Law, University of Delhi (DU), conducts a law entrance exam eligible candidates for admission to its LL.B and LL.M programmes.
The Faculty of Law was established in 1924. It is one of the oldest institutions imparting legal education in India. It is currently located at Chhatra Marg, University of Delhi. The law school attracts students from all over India and other foreign countries. Campus Law Center, under Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, is ranked as one of the top five law colleges in India. The institute follows a semester system examination and is known for imparting legal education through “case method” of teaching with decided cases and study material made available to students at the beginning of each term.
The Faculty of Law, DU, is holding a common entrance examination for admission to LL.B and LL.M courses. Currently, there are three centres for LL.B students under the Faculty of Law:
The students shall get allotment to above centres on the basis of the rank in the merit list.
There are 2310 seats for LL.B course and 100 seats for those seeking admission to LL.M course. The Bachelor of law (LL.B) degree course is a three year course conducted across the three centres. The Master of Law (LL.M) is offered as a full-time and part-time course. The two year full-time course is meant for those who are not employed or engaged in any trade; while the part-time (three year) course is open to all irrespective of the status of their employment.

Date of LL.B Entrance Test: 3rd week of June 2022(Tentative)
Date of LL.M Entrance Test: 1st week of June 2022(Tentative)
Result of Entrance tests: Within two weeks of the entrance examination.
Counseling dates: 3rd week of July 2022(Tentative)
Applications form shall be received only through online mode. Applicants shall be required to register online at http://admission.du.ac.in/pgadm/.
The registration fee of Rs. 500 is applicable for General/OBC category. Candidates under SC/ ST/ PWD will be required to make payment of Rs. 250. Candidates will be required to upload relevant documents online along with the online application form.
The entrance test paper for LL.B conducted by the DU Law Faculty will be a two hour test and will have 175 Objective type questions with multiple choice answers. The question paper will comprise of questions on English Language comprehension, Analytical abilities, legal awareness and aptitude, and general knowledge. The medium of the paper would be English. Every question carries four marks with negative marking of one mark for every incorrect answer.
The test paper for LL.M entrance test conducted by the DU Law Faculty will also be a two hour test and will consist of 175 questions. The syllabus for the entrance test will include the following subjects; Constitutional law, Jurisprudence, Law of Contracts, Law of Torts, Criminal Law, Family law of marriage & divorce, Public International Law. The medium of the paper would be English. Every question carries four marks with negative marking of one mark for every incorrect answer.
