The Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT) teaches students how to use medical, technological equipment in a laboratory setting in order to treat, diagnose and prevent diseases with the aid of clinical laboratory testing. Students may learn how to do tasks such as analyze blood-work, do blood typing, study human tissue and examine chemicals.
Learning these skills and their application in the real world can provide you with the ability to find employment in labs within hospitals, research facilities and private institutions. Lab technicians are needed on a regular basis.
