CBSE Adds New Skill Modules For Middle Schools; Introduces New Skill Subjects For Class 9, 11

New Delhi, India – The CBSE has taken numerous initiatives to integrate Skill Education in its affiliated schools in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 guidelines. Over 27 lakh students in Class 9 and Class 12 are currently enrolled in approximately 22,000 affiliated schools to study skill subjects.

CBSE Adds New Middle School Skill Modules; Introduces New Class 9, 11 Skill Subjects

In CBSE-affiliated schools, there is no fee for introducing the skill module and skill subject at any level.

India, New Delhi – In accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 guidelines, the CBSE has undertaken a number of initiatives to integrate Skill Education in its affiliated schools. Currently, over 27 lakh students in Class 9 and Class 12 are enrolled in approximately 22,000 affiliated schools to study skill subjects.

Schools and students may select one or more of these skill modules. These skill modules will also be available in online self-learning mode, and students will be able to attend classes online. These modules will be evaluated at the school level, preferably through a project. The school is responsible for assessing students in accordance with the criteria established by the board. These modules may be made available through the respective hobby clubs (if any). Schools and students are free to select any skill module at the Class 6, Class 7, or Class 8 levels.
