The petitioner stated that the class 12 students’ practical exams, vivas, etc. will be in January, which is the same time as the JEE Main 2023 January session.
The Bombay High Court will hear the plea filed on December 26 for rescheduling or postponement of JEE Main 2023 exam, which is to be conducted in January. The PIL has also urged the National testing Agency (NTA) to remove the 75 percent eligibility criterion, as many students’ future depends on this one test.
Anubha Srivastava Sahai has filed a petition against the National Testing Agency (NTA). The PIL claims that the class 12th students will have their practical exams, vivas, etc in January, which will coincide with the JEE Main 2023 January session. Even the HSC, CBSE, and ICSE (class 12) exams are scheduled to begin on February 1. This will make the exam calendar chaotic for the students.

The PIL has also urged the authorities to remove the 75 percent eligibility criterion, stating that “the marks scored by them is not a true reflection of their actual ability.” They also argued that students who score less than the eligibility criteria (75%) in this year’s board examination could score very high marks in JEE Main 2023.
The JEE-Main is a national-level entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It is used for admission to undergraduate engineering programs at NITs, IIITs, other centrally funded technical institutions, and institutions or universities funded or recognized by participating state governments. It is also an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which is conducted for admission to IITs.
