NEET 2022: MCC has also postponed announcement of seat allotment result for the second round to November 14-15.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on Saturday said that a medical college in Chhattisgarh has increased the number of MBBS seats from 20 to 32 and it’s been added to the seat matrix for NEET UG round 2 counselling.
Official statement states – “The Medical Counselling Committee has received information from Chandulal Chandrakar Memorial Government Medical College, Durg about new seats which could not be contributed by the colleges before the start of Round-2 of UG Counselling 2022 as LoPs from NMC were received on 09.11.2022. Therefore, the competent authority has decided to include the following M.B.B.S seats in the seat matrix of Round-2 of UG Counselling 2022 for the larger interest of candidates,”.
The MCC Committee has also postponed the registration deadline to November 13, giving candidates more time to register and submit their fees.
Candidates who wish to resign their seat in NEET round 1 can do so today until 3:00pm. Afterwards, they will be considered for the second round and will have to meet the same criteria for that round.
