UP Schools and colleges closed due to Kanwar Yatra in several districts, polytechnic exam postponed.

Due to the Kanwar Yatra, several districts in Uttar Pradesh have decided to close schools and colleges starting from July 10, 2023, and for the following days. The polytechnic exam in Meerut and Muzaffarnagar has also been postponed until further notice. 

This closure is primarily implemented to prioritize the safety of students and staff members during the Kanwar Yatra. The pilgrimage attracts a significant number of people, leading to potential traffic congestion and other disruptions. The temporary closure of educational institutions aims to minimize the risk of accidents and other untoward incidents.
