The petitioner candidates are requested to submit all documents and testimonials (academic training, Id proof) along with a copy of the re-evaluated digitised data of OMR sheets containing the revised TET marks obtained from the WBBPE from November 14 to November 14, 2022, within office hours from 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM. “The date and place of scrutiny verification and interview of the candidates will be notified through the boards official website (wbbpe.org)” read the official notification.

The matter of recruitment of TET candidates sparked protests of agitators that demanded immediate appointment as the 2014 TET recruitment was not carried on merit-basis and that conducting two rounds of interviews was “not fair”. The protestors refused to reappear for exams and claimed that they were qualified for recruitment.

However, the board assured candidates who have cleared the TET examination and are on the TET merit list will not be left out. WBBPE ruled out the possibility of directly recruiting TET candidates who qualified the 2014 examinations but failed to clear interviews. WBBPE president Goutam Paul asked the candidates to re-appear for the TET exam this year, the board also said that the provision of relaxing the age bar for candidates will also be considered.
