The Design Aptitude Test for GDPD and PGDPD courses at NID is followed by a Studio test and a personal interview round for shortlisted candidates at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Gandhinagar. A portfolio review and personal interview is conducted for some postgraduate disciplines and advanced courses.
The NID Admission Committee takes into account certain qualities like attitude, aptitude, perception, achievement and motivation that are ascertained through your test score and interview performance.
If selected, you will be sent an offer letter that will require you to submit your letter of acceptance, documents and fees for the entire academic year. Attendance to the Orientation Programme is compulsory, and failure to be present is counted as an automatic withdrawal of admission offer.
NID, Ford Foundation and the Government of India also offer scholarships/freeships to deserving and disadvantaged candidates.
